Alexandra Dariescu
Born in Romania in 1985, Alexandra Dariescu made her debut as a
soloist with the Kisinev Symphony Orchestra at the early age of
nine. Since then, she has appeared regularly with the State Philharmonic
in Romania, Kisinev Philharmonic, Eastbourne Symphony Orchestra,
RNCM Chamber Orchestra and Wind Ensemble, Crosby Symphony Orchestra
and Liverpool Mozart Orchestra, Liverpool Youth Philharmonic, Blackburn
and Sheffield Symphony Orchestras.
Alexandra made her debut in the Bridgewater Hall, Manchester performing
under the baton of André de Ridder with the RNCM Chamber
Orchestra in the Piano 2006 Festival broadcasted live on BBC Radio
3. She has also broadcasted for Tvr, Tvr Cultural, Tvr International,
Tvr Jassy and Radio Jassy in Romania, Manx Radio, Isle of Man and
Nevada Radio in California.
Alexandra has won over thirty prizes in national and international
competitions in her home country, France, Italy and Great Britain,
including the 2005 Eastbourne Young Soloist of the Year. Alexandra
has also been awarded RNCM’s coveted Gold Medal, Chopin prize,
Gordon Green and Peter Donohoe Prizes, Best Accompanist Prize in
the Elsie Thurston and Alexander Young Singing Competition and Weil
Prize for Chamber music.

Sadie Fields
Violinist Sadie Fields performs frequently in the UK and her home
country of Canada. Before receiving full scholarship to attend the
Royal Northern College of Music, where she currently studies with
Prof. Yair Kless, Sadie was awarded a scholarship to attend the
Young Artists Performance Academy in Toronto. Last year Sadie was
very pleased to receive awards from the Zochonis Charitable Trust,
the Leverhulme Trust, the Countess of Munster Musical Trust, and
the Musicians’ Benevolent Fund.
Sadie’s recent solo performances have included Bruch ‘Scottish
Fantasy’, Chausson ‘Poeme’, Vaughn Williams ‘Lark
Ascending’, and concertos by Mendelssohn, Beethoven, Bruch
(G minor), and Alban Berg. Sadie was broadcast nationally by the
Canadian Broadcasting Corporation (CBC) in recital at the Niagara
International Music Festival, and has also performed for the Canadian
Prime Minister and the late Pope John Paul II. This summer Sadie
has been invited to perform at the Mendelssohn on Mull Festival
and the Keshet Eilon Violin Mastercourse in Israel.
